Over the Fourth of July weekend, catastrophic flooding swept through south-central Texas—devastating communities across the region, especially in the Texas Hill Country. This historic disaster has claimed the lives of more than 100 people, including children. And many more are still missing. Homes were destroyed, entire neighborhoods submerged, and thousands of families were forced to flee with little more than what they could carry.

To respond to this urgent need, we’ve launched the 2025 Flood Relief Fund. Donations will provide emergency cash grants to verified GoFundMe fundraisers—families and individuals directly impacted by the floods—and to vetted nonprofit organizations delivering vital aid on the ground.

We’re grateful to GoFundMe, Inc. for providing the first donation of $100K, allowing us to begin granting immediately to verified fundraisers.

My dad woke up to water rushing through the bedroom the night of the 4th of July. All of those news stories you read out of Texas this weekend - that was them. He rushed around getting everyone to higher ground - Brandy and a dog to the greenhouse, a friend in a tree, a friend clinging to a section of a deck that was hung up in debris, one of the dogs on a filing cabinet, Ashlee and a friend on top of a pool table, and Donna clinging to a light pole until the police could rescue them. Everything is gone. All of their belongings, their IDs, cars, phones, houses, sheds, everything. While they work with insurance to start the long road to recovery they need our help to get clothes, pay for their hotel, rental car, new phones, just the basics. Just $5 from everyone we know will go miles to helping them get on their feet and work through this nightmare.
