Weather Resilience Fund CA Grantees

California’s Imperial Valley and Central Valley face some of the harshest environmental conditions in the country. Families live with unsafe drinking water, polluted air from pesticide drift and dust, and extreme heat intensified by aging infrastructure. These communities, home to immigrant farmworkers who power California’s agricultural economy, continue to fight for the basic conditions every household deserves.

We partnered with Central California Environmental Justice Network (CCEJN) and Comité Cívico del Valle (CCV) to deliver immediate, life-changing relief to families in the Salton Sea, Five Points, and San Joaquin regions.

This initiative does more than respond to urgent needs. It strengthens local resilience, mobilizes community leaders, and directs resources to places too often overlooked. Most importantly, it helps families right now by providing clean air, clean water, and protection from dangerous heat.

Every family deserves safety, dignity, and a healthy environment. To date this program has delivered:

• 564 air purifiers distributed to families living in severe pollution
• 127 homes have been equipped with reverse-osmosis filtration, delivering clean, reliable drinking water
• 257 cooling systems installed in homes faces with extreme heat conditions

In total, 3,400 residents have benefitted from these installations, delivering cleaner air, water, and protection from extreme heat.
