Paris Hilton and GoFundMe.org Announce the “Back in Business Recovery Fund” Launch at the NYSE to Support Female Entrepreneurs on International Women’s Day
Poussey Washington may have been a fictional character, but her life’s story and devastating fate are all too real for many women in this country. The Orange Is The New Black team at Netflix partnered with GoFundMe.org to create the Poussey Washington Fund, supporting charitable organizations in their effort to rethink, revise, and reform justice in America. Over $515,000 was donated to this Fund and granted to nonprofits focused on criminal justice, policy reform, immigrants’ rights, and supporting those affected by mass incarceration.
