Paris Hilton and GoFundMe.org Announce the “Back in Business Recovery Fund” Launch at the NYSE to Support Female Entrepreneurs on International Women’s Day
Within 30 hours of the wildfires on the island of Maui in August 2023, we started sending direct cash grants to support people who lost loved ones, homes, and more from our Wildfire Relief 2023 Fund. We also worked with Hawai’i local Kenna Reed, who wanted to provide trusted aid to the displaced ‘ohana of Lāhainā and Kula quickly and directly, so we partnered on the Help Maui Rise Fund. We also collaborated closely with the Cain, Dyer and Barnes Families on the Help the People of Lahaina and West Maui Fund to identify, vet, and deliver larger direct aid grants to families personally affected.
Collectively, these funds raised over $5 million, and over 5,000 grants were delivered directly to people impacted.
